Title: Oil pressure light on thunderbolt
Post by: huntingdon on 12 Oct, 2020, 14:35
Another newbie question :-\. Could anyone help with a question on oil pressure light switch. There are two coloured lights in the headlamp, one is green (wired to the lights) the other is red with no wires going to it and no free wires in loom.  Should this bike have an oil pressure switch attached to this, if so where is the oil pressure switch as cannot see one anywhere. If not what is this warning light for.
Hope that all makes sense !!!
Its a 1964.

I think the Oil pressure switch was introduced on the twin in 1969. The switch is located on the timing side at the bottom front. If you do not have the switch perhaps your headlight is from a 1969-70 model.
