my barrels are on +60 now but usa sites have +80 pistons. would they bore out to 2mm oversize without issue?

Hi Eddie,

To have them relined takes them out beyond +80 to fit the liner.  My wife's A10 is on +80 and has done many thousands of miles so I would say it is OK.

Dave.

Drags only stock up to +.060, and surprisingly Roy Bacons BSA Twin Restoration only says go out to +.040 then re line after.
I think it depends on the quality of the pistons, there are some of dubious make, depends on what you can get hold of, maybe the +.080 from America, by the time you add postage could be better off re lining to zero again.

I buy a lot from the USA, see if you can get a good price on shipping as that often is higher than the item price, also likely to get hit for import duties when they get here. I recently thought I got away with it as I received through a courier, then a week later I got a letter in the mail asking for the HMRC donation!! With Royal Mail they put a card throug the door holding the parts until you pay.
