1953 b33 threaded steering bearing cups

is this strange i seem to have a threaded tube between my bearing cups im trying to remove them i have a set of normal cups any ideas thanks paul

Sounds a bit odd but would help if you posted some photos.

the bearing cups themselves are threaded to aid removal with the special tool. You are not confusing this with a tube are you?

I think I got mine from C&D. It was a while back though.

1.5 inch diameter and 24 TPI. You screw it in and belt it with a drift through the steering head.
