B44 VS steering
« on: 14 September, 2017, 08:19:50 »
I have just bought one to replace my C15 SS.
First ride for 1/2 mile, up to 75 mph.
I found that the steering felt very light and I was afraid that a speed wobble might result.
Tyre's are 3.25 x 18 front and rear, normal pattern.
I wondered if a ribbed front would help, or could the fork trail be too little.

These frames handle very well, so much better than the C15, so unless it has been crashed and geometry altered the fork trail will be fine.

Worth checking fork oil level, wheel alignment, tyre pressures etc but what you are feeling could just be you getting used to a new bike.

My tyre pressures (As bought) were far too high.
After 15 miles I am finding it OK.
