1933 W33-6 Tank Advice
« on: 05 June, 2020, 21:39:21 »
I have recently acquired a 1933 W33-6 BSA that I am about to start restoring
While the chrome/painted is quite sound, it has some dents that need removing prior to complete refinishing
Can anyone recommend a company that could take on the restoration of the tank?

Hello,

I sent the tank of my 1932 Blue Star to https://www.motorcycledentremoval.co.uk/

It is not repaired yet, when they send it to me I will inform you about the result.

Wow, great looking machine, but sorry I can't help you there. I left this one as is - see pic. it's a 1936 B18. Been working on it on and off for 6 years, nearly there now.

Thank you for posting the pictures
Amazing results!
I'll certainly be contacting these 2 companies and will return the favour by posting the results
One more question - I presume that your tank has painted panels? - have you any contacts for this?
Thanks again

Hi,
I am going to do the painting of the gas tank with a local painter. I am from Catalonia.

very nice!
Mine has now had the dents removed and I collected it from the platers yesterday
Hopefully shipping it off for paint during this week
Will post pictures when its back

So far the tank has cost almost twice the amount the complete bike did!

Tank is now back from paint and lining - done by Colin at Classic Motorcycle paintwork
An excellent Job, and I'm thrilled with the results
