Golden Flash - Family Heirloom
« on: 25 April, 2020, 16:40:58 »
Hi All,

this is my first post on this forum.  Great resource and a credit to everybody involved, well done and thank you!

So, here is my contribution to the site.  This is my 1961 Golden Flash which hit the road again after 28 years of intermittent restoration last September.  This bike was used to take my wife to school by her Uncle John.  John purchased the bike new from Lloyd Cooper Motorcycles in Watford. I am lucky enough to have the original bill of sale, complete with a penny brown stamp on it  :)

Sadly, John passed way a long time ago but I promised him before he died, that I would restore the basket case of what was the bike in his garage.  And here she is now!  I am very proud to look at her now and I hope he would be chuffed to bits!

I hope you enjoy the pic!

Best
Chris
