Open weekend at PES

Performance Engineering Services are having an open weekend this weekend.  They advertise in The Star and under take quite a range of engineering services.

We visited PES yesterday and found it to be a very interesting and informative experience.  We buy parts for our bikes without necessarily knowing how much goes in to making those parts.  This applies especially to specialist quality parts such as those made at PES.  The quality and innovation was quite amazing.  The cumulative knowledge and experience gathered over many years of not only from making parts, but from feedback from end users makes for the best outcomes.

Did you see Mark Cook,? He originally worked a few miles from me in Wiltshire and we saw a lot of him when riding and building scrambles tracks for our local clubs. He used to have his units in old farm sheds with multi thousand machines inside, nasty little road to get to.

Last time I spoke with his wife, was for a B40 crankbearing  sleeve, cheaper than anywhere else on the internet.

Hi Chaz,

Yes, Mark was there busy making and repairing parts mainly for the motor cross bikes but he does other work as well and all very ably assisted by Anita.  As well as just about all engine parts I think they do the complete bike and I think Mark does a bit of competing as well.  Whilst there we saw the components for the A65 5 speed gearbox being gathered for the next batch.
