Just noticed the website layout has changed, not as easy now to look up frame numbers etc

just my 2p worth

I agree.
Pre-warning of change would of been nice.

Blimey, a lot of people thought the old format was 'tired' and in need of some attention. It's nice to know some were happy with it but to be honest a change is a good as a rest as they say.

The reasons for the website upgrade are 2 fold:

1. As Microsoft are slowly removing their support for Internet Explorer 11 in favour of Edge, it was becoming no longer viable to keep the old website. It was requiring too much support.

2. Because we moving more and more towards using our mobile phones, ipads etc to access the internet, instead of the desktop PC, the BSA Clubs website needed to be able to respond to all the different devices. This has obviously meant a different menu structure with items such as frame/engine numbers, having to be accessed from a different point.

However, I will look into a giving an easier way of reaching the frame/engine number section.

Modernising the website is hopefully a first step to bringing other parts into the new millennium.
Probably kicking and screaming but nevertheless up to date.

This is my first post on this site having just registered, so not sure what the old site looked like.

everyone will get use to this one in any event.

However wondering if anyone can help on ....

I have recently purchased  myself a BSA A65 Spitfire 1968 again after of owning the same mode some 45yrs ago.

I would like to know how to research the frame number and engine number to date the machine and find out what dealer it was originally dispatched to etc.
there was little paperwork that came with it so wanting to build some sort of history.

would appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Also are there any local clubs near me win Newmarket Suffolk.  Noticed there is a branch in Norwich which is not too far 50miles or so
