B31 1955 Swing Arm Model
« on: 06 July, 2019, 19:18:52 »
I'm riding a BSA B31 from 1955. The Bike came from Pikes of Plymouth and my father bought it as his first commuter Motorcycle from the village to Devonport Dockyard, he had it for a couple of years before upgrading to a B33. He later bought a A7 SS for restoration in his retirement, this Bike was found in a lock up at Terry Hobbs Motorcycles whilst working on that Project. It was subsequently purchased as a wreck of a bike and restored with as much original parts as possible. After 20 Years of never being ridden since that restoration, I know have it back and running on the familiar roads it was originally accustomed too. I will attached a few images before and after; also a link to a short video of a test run with new Tyres fitted to ensure it was roadworthy.
