Slacken off the adjuster at the lever so there is free play.
Remove clutch access cover and loosen the lock nut mounted on the clutch pressure plate. Screw in the adjuster to take up all free play. Slacken off the adjuster half a turn and tighten the lock nut. Make fine adjustments at the handle bar end of the cable to give a small amount of free play.

Hi,
Plus, ensure the clutch centre nut is tightened to a torque of 65 lbs/ft to eliminate clutch drag.

Best wishes...
