ignition on a B44

Ive just bought a C25 with B44 engine. There are no sparks, and it has no battery.
It is fitted with a' MINI MITE by R and R' ignition system, and there are no sparks.
I cant find any details about this system ,so I can fault find.
Anyone know about this system?

Looking at the instructions, this is not an ignition unit. It is a Rectifier / Regulator

Hi Mick - does the bike look like it should have a battery or would you say that it has been fitted with a capacitor discharge  ignition / alternator system like the Electrex unit? Has it still got it's original alternator? Is it fitted with lights? If you post some pics of what's under the side panel, points cover and engine casings  that will point you in the right direction. I can't find anything about the R and R system. If it comes to it I would whole heartedly recommend the Electrexworld kit STK-100D-DC should you need to replace it. I have two on my B44's (in B25 frames!!) and they are easy to fit, easy to time (28' BTDC not 34' as stated), easy to start with a decompressor and they pull like a train through the rev range. Dead impressed.
