Long lower engine mounting bolt
« on: 14 May, 2019, 11:00:45 »
 :) :) :) :)
Greetings

What is the diameter of the tie bolt that goes through the lower engine mounting. I have a book that says 7/16 and one that says 5/16. But it will take 10mm which suggests 3/8.?????????

So your help and advice again please.

Don't confuse things, I  think the reason why there is two different sizes is that the centre is 7/16" blank but reduced & threaded on the ends to 5/16" start using metric and you could get yourself banned and, having to buy the drinks all round at the open day, I'm on rum. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Mike,  Depending on the year of manufacture of an A10 Golden Flash there are two part numbers for the item in question.  27-6276 and 42-4099.  However, checking the fixings list both are 3/8" diameter with a cycle thread.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. Don't fret I can 'do' metric and imperial on the run. Sorry cant afford to buy my own drinks even.
