a65 coil brackets unobtainium

hello,
almost completed my mongrel 66 a65 with an oif engine project.
i have a65 side panels ,cross over bracket , but somebody nicked the coil brackets 68 9278 and 9279.
having rung around the usual bsa dealers and trawled internet i realise i will have to make these from scrap.
so could anyone be so kind to give measurements ?

I'll have a look on my A65 later and see if it has these brackets and whether I can measure them. When I restored this bike, I know I had great difficulty sorting out all these brackets and I think ended up with quite a few extra which might still be in my box of unused spares? I'll see what's there.

thankyou for the dimension drawings spaceman.
however i m a little confused why both brackets are so different.do both brackets locate the horizontal panel mount bracket? which holes?
as they are missing its hard to figure out.

Hi Eddie.

It was quite a long time ago that I restored my A65 and, as said, I remember these brackets were a nightmare to sort out. Rightly or wrongly, this is the configuration I ended up with.

just to update if anyone was interested. after making these brackets i found i didnt have the right coil clamps. also they looked clumsy in place. so i drilled a hole in the cross over bracket for each commonly sourced coil clamp to fit with a long bolt and spacer. a lot simpler and hidden by side covers anyway.

As long as it works, that's all that matters. The proper factory set up on my A65 is a bit Heath Robinson at best and, I'm sure, no better or worse than your modified arrangement.
