Amal concentric question
« on: 19 December, 2018, 14:08:18 »
I have just come across a slip of paper from a amal gasket set  that reads don't use the O ring and gasket on the same joint surface, so does anyone know the sequence (gasket, spacer etc )from cylinder head to carbs, thanks Roy

The good book states that the O ring is for flange sealing models. I have fitted my O ring onto the heat spacer and the gasket onto the head, had no problems; I think.

I was advised:  paper gasket greased on the head; then heat spacer; O-ring; carb

Hi all, just took both carbs off and a total of six various thickness gaskets and two O rings ,checked the flanges and found they where bowed so rubbed them down on emery cloth on plate glass replaced carbs with one paper gasket and O ring hope it will make carburation better. thanks for the advise, Roy
