Speedo repairs
« on: 14 January, 2019, 10:42:44 »
Have a speedo problem on my A7SS , any recomendations for repair services. Seem to remember I once used a compny  (one man band) in the East Midlands but can I find the paperwork or remember who did the work on my Goldie rev counter   ?    Griff

Hello Griffo

I have just had a speedo completely re- conditioned and re-calibrated by Chronometric Instrument services, Daybrook Nottingham tel: 01159 206156, it cost me 140, which I thought was quite reasonable, terrific job they have done, it came back like new. Great service, I strongly recommend them.

I am torn between Gaggs, who looked after me very with parts & advice before they sold up, and Chronometric.
Have in the past had excellent work done at a reasonable cost by David Wood who I understand
has now retired, I'm told his son has followed in his footsteps
I need a repair not a conkers restoration as I do not do shiny

Another vote for Russell at Chronometrics in Nottingham.
I too had great service from Gaggs for service and parts over many years. its just that I have not experience of speedo work (and I'm still miffed at who they sold their stock to  ;) )
