A7 front forks.
« on: 02 December, 2018, 12:56:33 »
I am thinking of putting a twin leading brake wheel on my A7 SS and my queery is , can I just put the lower half of the forks off a heavy duty C15/C25 as they will take the spindle ?   Griff

Could try comparing part numbers on Draganfly's website. Might be a start.

Griffo - What forks do you have on your bike?

If you want to use the BSA/Triumph twin leading shoe brake you really need the clamp up fork bottoms and dampers from a 1968 B25 or A65 Spitfire or Lightning. These have a lug long enough to safely engage with the brake. The A10 type dont have a long enough lug and the C15 Heavy weight clamp up forks wont take the spindle. The C25 has a screw in spindle.

You can build up the brake plate with alloy weld so the brake fits the A10 type forks.

Sounds like the easiest way would be to swap the B25 and A7 forks over....(Thats if they will fit)    :o    Griff
