Clutch cable routing

Sorry to bother everyone with another small problem with my B40 rebuild.

What is the route of the clutch cable?
I cannot see what the best route for it is without fouling the chain or having to bend it through some very sharp bends.
I did see one B40 where someone had put a "P" clip on the engine rear mounting bolt to support the cable but that left a right angle bend into the engine case.

All advice appreciated!

The normal route is down the LH side of the top tube and then down behind the rear panel to the left of the battery and then out underneath the rear panel to the clutch lever on the outer timing cover. It's best to try to achieve the biggest bend radii you can.
