Hi,
Can somebody please tell me what secures the ammeter into the headlamp shell - at the moment mine is just pushed in, there is no securing bracket like there is on the speedo.
Many thanks,
Phil

Little tabs around the chrome rim fold over and hold it in place, thats if it is a Lucas item.
The tabs do break off when they have been bent and straightened a few time.

You could get a large rubber o-ring or two and push it tightly up behind the cowl. Most car spares shops have a box of these under the counter, worked for me years ago. 20 pence tops.
