Hi,
I'm a novice on my first project so this may be a dumb question but I'm struggling!

I'm rebuilding a B33 1955 Swinging Arm from boxes of bits. I'm at petrol tank stage.

The tank I have, which I'm sure is original (4 gallon), has 2 fuel outlets, one on each side of the tank (see picture). But the original parts manual, and draganfly etc all show this model/year with a single tap/pipe outlet. Everything else about the tank looks right apart from the 2 outlets. So my problem is what is the best way to configure this? Do I have 2 pipes/taps with 1 as the main a 1 reserve, or some sort of 'balance pipe between them, but then how do I fit the tap?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know it looks a mess underneath - previous owner had 2 plates with very bad welding so the chap who sprayed it has to seal it, and I know it should be chrome, but could only afford to get it sprayed silver for now.

Many thanks
Simon

Assuming the bike has a Monobloc carb, fit a double banjo to it with one tap connected to each leg.

Hi,

As said re double banjo.
If you look at the base of the tank you will see that what is the lefthand side has a lower base and so carries a bit more fuel to act as a reserve.

Or one pipe from each tap into a T piece, then a single pipe going to the carb via an in-line filter.

Thanks. It is a monoblock so that sounds perfect.
Thanks for quick response

Thanks Dave - I did notice that the left had has a lower base - so that explains it !

Thanks - I'll try the double banjo option but If I can't get one this will be as good I think.

T pieces are cheaper than Amal banjo's, and you can use a single filter.
