Pleased to see another A65 rescued. My local bikers pub can have up to 60 bikes on a Saturday lunch time. It is always Triumphs and other makes, never an A65. Where are they all ? Enjoy your restoration. Plenty of questions please.

one question it has -Y at the end of the engine number, is this because it is mid year change and wiring has changed? i noticed zener is at front under triple clamps!

there is a post here talking about it there are others as well but no definitive answer.

http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91975

the engine number ends in -Y and is same in logbook.

Frame doesn't have -Y suffix just engine number.

I read about this somewhere a while ago. The explanation was given but I have forgotten what it said. A club dating certificate should clarify.
