1958 DBD 34 Clubmans rear brake

Hi again everyone I am in the process of reassembling the rear brake and am puzzling over a part called an outrigger part no 42-6046 but the one I have is not OEM it is polished stainless steel and also flat, the pic of OEM looks stepped, I did not dismantle it so it is jigsaw  time, I assume the large hole fits over the stub axle and the small one behind the brake return spring and arm, if there is anyone who has any experience of this bit of BSA magic please feel free to comment or advise if assumptions are correct or not and how many hands are needed when trying to line up position and tighten many thanks Chris

mine is straight too . On another matter how is it you can see the reflection of the nut when it would be hidden by the bracket .
