1961 M21 Cable lengths and levers identification

Is there a way to identify which cables will work with which levers

I decided that the handle bars were a bit crowded and wanted to move the decompress trigger to the left.

Also to solve the problem that the inner for the advance appeared to long and clutch was ok.

My solution was a new clutch lever with advanced combined.

Now the advance has it tight with no adjustment at the magneto and clutch is loose!

The clutch has no adjustment at the lever.

It just a matter of trial and error or is there something I am missing?
