Electronic ignition

I have just bought a 1961 M21, needs carbs and timing setting up.
I has Thorspark electronic ignition partly fitted.

I am conflicted and I am thinking about putting the points back, how foolish is that!

Previous bikes I had with mags were fine or maybe I have rose tinted glasses.

Any advice?

Nothing wrong with a magneto.

Excellent Thospark system is generally installed when the magneto is     wrong.

Why not get the mag checked over and see if it needs any work to make it reliable.

With the good weather coming into view I think I commission it with the EI take a view after riding.
