Hi Chaps

Can anyone advise on the fitting of the Avonaire full fairing on a BSA A65,pre OIF? Just how & where it's attached,ie handlebars, forks etc...

Thanks boys
NatSec.

Hi,

What year is it?  On '69/'70 frames there are tubes on the headstock for attaching a fairing. Other wise I would say it is on the frame.

Dave.

Hi Dave

In this case,a 1965 A65 Lightning/Thunderbolt model.
Possibly a National Motorcycle Museum trip,in case they have a similar exhibit.

Hi, I have just aquired a fairing for the A65, very old, tatty but looks fun.
It came with quite a set of metal parts for fixing the fairing to the down tubes. Not sure on the make or age, but know that it came off an A65.
If you're still stuck I could get some pictures (not fitted, just of the fittings).

Hi Jeff

That sounds promising & may well help with this one.

Can you email (attach) to natsec@bsaownersclub.co.uk   please Jeff.Or if not,use this Forum.Either,really.

Appreciate you getting in touch

Phil

EDDIE SIMPSON

MCS online were selling the headstock wrap for  about  £40
from there a tube goes forward to a horizontal tube that attaches to both fairing sides. then mount a pair of frame lugs on down tubes.

Hi NatSec, apologies for the long delay here, I have been away on holiday.

I'll get some pictures taken and sent over.
