bsa sunbeam head lights
« on: 26 June, 2024, 16:55:30 »
Hi A "recent restored Sunbeam"  l have bought has a lighting problem with  the headlights. its had new wiring loom and everything works apart from headlights it has a new light switch and if I short out the appropriate terminals on the socket the lights all work fine, the  question is is the switch on the sunbeam different to other wipacs like the generic bantams. any comments appreciated  thanks PS also need a speedo

Ecton.

I believe that the switch for the headlight is a wipacbut works slightly different from ignition switch, in that the position of the the ignition is left for emergency, right for normal ignition, whereas the light switch turns to the right two clicks, first side light the next position headlight.
