only problem i can see is everybody will think you're working for deliveroo with a top box like that

Looks OK for the price. Get rid of the top-box, crash bars and grandad screen and it'd look even better. ;)

Thanks for the feedback so far, i think perhaps i should have focussed my question on the mechanics of the bike, mainly the engine change etc. I'm not a purist, just a worrier.

The sellers wording.

A BSA A10 650.  This bike is a great runner, starts first kick.  Mikuni Carb, Stainless Wheels, Bob Newby Belt drive, Indicators fitted.  High level LED brake lights in the top box.  Does not burn oil.
The bike was originally a B31, but the B31 engine blew up.  An A10 engine was fitted, DVLC informed and changes made to paperwork.  For the enthusiast this is not a desired bike, but if you want a bike that will run all day, been to Assen and back twice, with no issues.  Rode all over the UK. This is that bike.

He's probably right in saying that this bike has been very reliable, but also despite what he says, it's still a B31 with an A10 engine fitted.
If you're not sure then don't buy. Plenty of "real" A10's out there at the moment, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

V500,  many thanks for that, the search continues. :)

The speedo on the subject bike is only marked to 80 mph , the A10 item is marked to 120 mph. Shown as 1954 but has the later full width iron hubs which came in from 1958.

There can't be many of these with an A10 engine and based on Sandbach Cheshire. If I am correct (I moved from Cheshire 8 years ago, and probably last time I saw such bike was even longer).

However if it is the same bike that I remember, previous owner (
And friend (now RIP). It would have been in very good mechanical condition and the mag would have been rebuilt (by the same learned person that built the engine). So it would be a good bike. I can't remember if the bike started out as. B31 or B33, but following some engine problems if I remember right, a common friend built an A10 engine for him. It will be a great riders bike and in lovely condition.

Ok, not original and I can't speak for who owned it between my friends ownership of many years and the current owner who had it since he passed.

Just seen who the seller is, which confirms what I was thinking.
