I would be interested in feedback on the below.

Spotting a full page advert advocating that 'NEW' BSA Gold Star 650 owners where welcome to the BSA Owners Club I joined.

When inquiring where there was any information regarding the new model, the then Chairman advised they were only interested in the older bikes!

Being involved with both Triumph & Norton where the new models have equal attention, I was disappointed.

Am I missing something?

You wouldn't, get a stupid remark like that at my branch, already. have two being used.

We have at least 4 new Goldstar owners in my branch and in fact a recent new member who joined with a Goldie 650, then bought an older Small Heath Beezer to add to his collection.

Thank you for your reply's it gives me some hope of the BSA Gold Star 650 being listed as a 'known model' with some owners being able to exchange experiences etc.

Personally, I am very pleased with mine although I have upgraded a few things to improve the ride. I have not made contact with my local Branch yet, but hoping to in the near future.
Cheers

Don't ever be put off by someones 'off the cuff' remark Ago. We welcome all BSA owners, and as I've stated before there are quite a few of the new Goldies now owned by club members. Here's a pic of mine that I bought last October. I've only put about a 1000 miles on it, but that will increase with me riding it to (and back from) the International Rally in Norway in August :)
