The wheels and spokes on my B21 have been changed at some time in the past. The diameter of the spoke is about 3mm or 1/8". Two of them are loose and won't tighten. If I can extend the thread a couple of mms it should get it sorted. Can anyone give any suggestions to what the thread is likely to be?

V500

It's likely to be a rolled thread and shouldn't be cut with a standard die, but if you want to give it a whirl I think you'll find it's BA pre-war.

With a spoke removed the thread is 0.137" diam and approx 40tpi.

I agree with V500. Rolled threads actually increase the diameter as the material is forced into the peaks rather than the valleys being cut away as happens with a die or thread cutting in the lathe. I would get new ones from Central Wheel or similar.

Update
I contacted Willis Wheels and they extended the thread and posted the spoke back to me. Great service and job done. It saves having a brand new shiny spoke standing out like the proverbial sore thumb.
