4 spring clutch draging and poor lifting

finally sorted out my a65 clutch without taking it off the bike.
its an early 4 spring and i found a machined ridge near the flange part of the cush drive outer was stopping the plain plates seating and moving correctly.
strange as the drum is original bsa but badly finished. i used 2 friction plates to bypass the ridge area as i m too lazy and impatient to remove it .
