Hi is it easy to convert my B33 to twin leading brakes , I had some on my Bonnie and they were good

If your bike has the 8 inch single sided brake they are already quite good with decent linings.

If you have the Aerial type full width aluminium hubs there is not a TLS conversion readily available.

If the 1958 on with 7 inch iron full width hubs you may be able to fit the later 7 inch TLS brake or fit a complete later wheel with TLS brake.

Hi I was thinking of changing over the whole wheel , seen triumph and an early Yamaha twin leader wheels

In my opinion it would be far better to change wheel complete triumph 7 or 8 inch with the drum that has a raised flange on brake side ,drums are Much stronger and safer , I myself have converted original bsa 7 and 8 inch full width hub brake fitting in twin leading brake plates quite often had to reduce the width of shoes ,
When sorted and brake started to work good it wasn't long before drum became oval and brake judderd ,had drum re ground and again after heavy braking drum went out of shape , if you look at the spoke angle in std bsa FWH brake ,spoke are to vertically, thus allways
pulley the drum , look at triumph with raised flange tha spoke angle  on that side is laying down more ,not pulling at drum ,  I have seen a drum std bsa / early triumph  drum actually brake a lump hanging on the spoke ,( this particular one Was used on classic race bike )  ( think rider had to go and change is underwire 😂)

Be cearfull if not sure get a professional to look advised

I usually reline the shoes with a slightly softer compound, I use a place in Bedford, was about 5 quid a shoe plus a bit of postage

Presume this is your bike:

If so then it looks like you have the smaller single sided 7" brake from a B31

It looks like it should have later (Ariel or FWH) brakes as it has the 'rear crossover brake pedal (with splines) but also the rear crinkle hub (wonder with those added brackets on the rear footrest loops whether it once sported rear sets etc.
The easiest up grade with your forks (earlier Goldie type with screw in spindle) would be the correct 8" front drum fitted with 8' Eddie Dow Duetto conversion (nb not the 190mm version).
I got mine from Phil Pearson (retired) but his son is running BSA Gold Star Parts and may be able to help.
