Hi Jason,

If you can sit on the bike long enough it may doable but maybe not too enjoyable.  Probably 24hrs total travelling time so knock 4hrs for Denmark to Norway so that means 20hrs riding over 3 days.  At least BSA brakes work better up hill than down.
We used to do silly mileages in a day but now, being retired, we can take all the time we want.
Pity you cannot get another day off as that would make all the difference.

Liz and myself will be attending. First Rally for Liz and third for me along with last years Summer Camp. Doing the Rally and then a quick trip to the UK to visit family followed by a touristy trip to Scotland before we return to South Furnaceland aka Texas. Will be nice to see friends again and a chance for Liz to see what BSAOC and the Rallies are like firsthand.

We look forward to seeing you there.  It will be interesting to see how many go from the UK.  It is now not as easy as when there was a direct ferry.  For those who have the time, there is some good riding to do there and back.

We'll be coming in from Texas where we live. I am curious to see how many from the States come. I was the only one at the Summer Camp last year, one of three at the Belgian and about 20 at Moreton in Marsh. Always good to see a good showing from other countries even if its just one in the case of Poland.

I think I met you at the 2019 Rally, I was with Don Grundy and mates. Cold, wet and windy then, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mid afternoon here.  I think Don, Bob and Clive have allowed age to catch up with them.  We are keeping a few steps ahead so we keep riding.
If you have the time, have few days in Norway.  Just about all of it is amazing so worth the effort. We are taking a convoluted route to get there.

Afternoon now Dave,

Liz wants to see some of Scotland while we're over. In May we're looking at a trip down to Eastbourne area to see her family and then when we do the International up to Banbury to see mine before Haggisland to see the sights and a friend over Gourock way.

Otherwise we could possibly do a few more days there in Norway. But we will see what we can along with a quick trip into Sweden where we're there.

I did hear that Bob Young was feeling poorly, had an operation a while back and Don pranged his shoulder up. I'm like you, as long as finances hold out along with the economy and health, we'll attend Rallies as much as possible.

Yes. The last time we saw Bob he was unwell and Don was in recovery so may get back on his out fit.  We missed them at the last couple of Rallies and it was fun trying to think what they would do next.

Campsite is now fully booked. (tents, caravans, mobile homes and cabins) There are still a few Motel-rooms left 1 April). Go to the website and send e-mail to the campsite as described there if you haven't booked accommodation already.
If there should be no vacancy, there is still a couple of campsites within 13km, Enhus Camping 8km. Bevø Camping 12km.

Hi Tim,

I don't think many are going from the UK this time but still a great experience awaits.  We are doing a few bits of maintenance on our bikes - new rear tyres, oil change, chain adjustment etc. 
We are taking a meandering route with rising temperatures determining how far south east we go before heading north.

Just getting a few things in order here, packing and repacking, finding space for small items and getting a few things to bring with us. Then just have to wait it out until the 10th for the flight to Scotland to mooch about there and England prior to the IR.

Hi Tim,

We are in final service items mode with the big clean still to do.  As we are doing as bit of extra mileage I had to fit new rear tyres.  They perhaps had over 500 miles of tread left but our trip should be over 1000.  Not worth risking ending up with bald and illegal tyres.
Our old and worn out and leaky summer gear is now replaced so we will face whatever is thrown at us knowing that we will be dry and also not too hot.

Last minute things are getting sorted. Everything needed has been gotten, a few things to bring over, even have few coins scraped together for a beer or two, any more than that and I'll be forced to have the Ex sell a kidney.

That's this years International done for the year.

It was windy, wet and coolish for a few days but was a great Rally nonetheless. The scenery driving from Oslo to Fredrikstad and the local views were great. Met up with old friends and met new ones.

If next years Rally in Denmark is anything like this, I'm looking forward to it.

If you're heading to the Norway rally in 2024, booking directly with the campsite makes sense since it's often the easiest way to secure a spot close to the event. I'd recommend sorting that out as soon as possible since things can fill up fast, especially for popular rallies like this.
