BSA Sunbeam 250 cc scooter frame numbers

Hi all a friend of mine has just bought BSA Sunbeam 250CC scooter and is struggling to find any frame numbers . He's looked on the top frame rails ( we're they'd be on the Triumph Tigress ) but has found nothing does anyone were they are normally located ? Regards Mark

Hello Mark

There are two places to look for the frame number on Sunbeam scooter, one is on the seat rail at the rear the other place is on the frame below the kick start, the flat piece.

 Hi John and Julian  my friend as now found the frame number it was on the centre of the top frame rail at the back of the seat near where the two side panels join . He had been looking for the number on the top rail half way along the seat as per his triumph tigress, though at Stafford show yesterday there was a tigress there with its number at the rear of the seat . Julians service sheet that he posted helped my friend find his spare frames number thank you both for the information regards Mark.
