Wiring indicators to a starfire

Hi, Have just acquired a bsa starfire, I would like to add indicators
But do not know how to go about it! any advise would be gratefull

I have attached a generic wiring diagram for indicators. It is very simple and should give you an idea how to go about it. Bear in mind that your bike will probably be positive earth which will affect how the flasher hit is connected. (i.e. -ve and + supply connections reversed.)

If you fit LED indicators the circuit needs to be a little different; see this link.

First you have to find suitable indicator lamps. Decide if you want normal bulbs or LED. If you go for standard incandescent bulbs, use Dereks standard wiring diagram. If you use LED lamps, either use Dereks LED indicator diagram or skip the resistors and use a LED flasher unit relay as Berr wrote.  If you want separate left and right warning lights, skip the diodes and connect the warning lights in parallel with each side.
