continuing the BSA or not BSA posts..
My youngest has sold the B40 and now hit a brick wall, havn't we all at some time. He is selling all his bikes apart from one, which he hasn't ridden for a year now. (oh, he is a member of the club but not keen on the way he gets answered by the oldies)
It has now been passed on to me , the job of rebuilding his son/my grandson's project. the boy is 10 years old and has ADHD and just needs time, hence father wants to spend more time with the kids than in the garage.
The bike is a BSA Beaver, (as far as I know, ) It has a Morini engine, common to many small kids bikes.
looking for information as Im not sure, it has a one piece moulded seat/tank cover not looking like the ones on Google search.

were they factory made bikes or re badged?   any literature?

DAVE BRADY

Hi Chaz,

I think there is a Beaver expert listed in the back of the Star.  Not sure how much info they have but it may be worth making contact.

Dave.

thanks Dave
will check the back list, it was a tentative ask as some members will not recognise it as a BSA but has the badges on the fibreglass

Could it be a Junior, with one piece seat/tank?

Dean Southall

The club does have a Beaver technical consultant. You might like to contact them. Their details are in the Star.
BSA: turning ordinary men into mechanics since 1910

Julian, BSA address is very adjacent to Watsonian Squire -
Watsonian Squire Ltd,
Unit 72, Northwick Business Centre,
Blockley, Moreton-in-Marsh,
Gloucestershire GL56 9RF

Any connection I wonder or merely coincidence?

ahh, could be the junior then. Only up the Fosse so might wander up there.

at least a picture to go by now. Junior was playing rugby under 10's today so will have to get him tied into my shifts and start work on his first BSA.

the Morini motor was used on many makes, KTM,Malagutti, Lem etc, all junior motox bikes. Today the company have finished, there is a place in America who will do a swap/px for a newer 4 stroke motor. Presumably morini stopped 2 stroke production due to emissions, same as the bigger marques .

Another catalogue page, from the 1980s as is the one above, note different address for BSA.
