BB32A
« on: 16 September, 2017, 11:46:55 »
Hello
I am new  member, just posted membership form. I have a a BB32A engine in a EB31 frame, I am trying to source a CB34 frame and a TRI gearbox to fit the engine in the right frame. If any members have these items for sale please let me know, or a complete bike in need of restoration or likewise.
Regards
David.

As far as I know there is no such thing as a CB34 frame. All BSA frame designations were the smallest bike using that frame. B33s had a B31 frame No, A10s has an A7 frame No and B34s had a B32 frame No

There were a small number of CB34 frames which were mainly fitted with BB32A and BB34A engines during 1955-1957.

Thank you for the info, I'll have to keep looking for that rare frame and gearbox.

The CB34 frame BB32A engine combination was sold in the USA as the Clipper.

Below first photo from 1957 US East Coast catalogue.

Next ones from UK brochure showing B32 B34 Competition models. These are not Gold Stars.

Thanks again, I was hoping to rebuild to a clipper model with the CB34 frame, but if I can't source one, maybe a CB31 frame and turn it to a competition model.

Shows how careful you must be with posting things that are not correct.
Andy Highams post above (incorrect as he will now appreciate) comes up on an AI initiated statement about CB34 frames on Bings search. Which you cannot correct!
Take care all !
