B175 fork assembly question
« on: 16 December, 2021, 14:18:10 »
I am rebuilding a set of B175 forks but don't know which way up the nylon slider that goes between the upper and lower bushes should be installed.
The  nylon slider has two inner diameters. For half its length the bush is a sliding fit on the stantion for the remaining length the wall of the slider is thinner so there is a gap between the stantion and the slider.
So, should it be installed with the thicker section uppermost or the thinner section uppermost?
Thanks

According to a few Triumph people (these forks are based on that design I believe?), the thicker section should be downmost, so thinner section uppermost.. HTH

Hi Ian
thanks for that. I have been searching around before and since posting and couldn't find an answer elsewhere.
In the meantime I've discovered the new ones I bought don't fit in the sliders!
