Wight Lightning Rally
« on: 30 September, 2021, 15:18:41 »
Well, a great time was had by all at the Wight Lightning Rally last weekend. A big Well Done and thanks to Wendy, Charlie and their team from the IOW group for organising and putting on the event.
The weather on Saturday was dull and occasionally very light drizzle for the ride out but brightened up when we got back to Smallbrook. There was a local VMCC get together in Newport town centre on Saturday lunchtime, so a long stop was included and some very interesting bikes were there to feast our eyes on.
It was great to meet up with so many old friends and make some new ones.

Looking forward to next years event already

I would like to second Chris's comments and thank all those who made it such a fun weekend. Well worth the 200mile ride.
The bands were very good indeed and I appreciated the mellow guitar and flute duo on friday who played at a level whcih meant we could enjoy the music and chat to old friends. Attempting 'Comfortably Numb' does fall into the brave but foolhardy category though ;)
