Oiling re built clutch

hi guys-me again! Sorry if i sound like a numbty but its been a while since my last re-build and i just want it to be right. When assembling a clutch either with new plates or used is it good practise to lubricate with appropriate oil? It may be some time until its used in anger but who knows! Thanks everyone and keep up the good work. Dave.

Hi Dave,
Some do and some don't. It will not be long before some oil gets on the plates any way. All I usually do is put a very light smear of light grease or just oil on the slots for the clutch plates. This helps when setting up the clutch.
Dave.
