1969 Starfire

Here is my Starfire. Got it as a barn find in 2012. Chap I got it from had had it since the 80s but done nothing with it. Rebuild took 2 years.

You'll notice the colour is that of the B44 Roadster, which I think is much better than the standard Blue & Black.

Hi,

A tidy looking bike and the colour looks good.  Is the front mudguard  stainless steel or chrome?

Dave.

Thanks. I am proud of it.

Mudguards are Chrome. Looked everywhere for stainless. Couldn't find them anywhere.

I bought them from Burton Bike bits. For about 150 - 170 for the pair. Quality is OK. I have underseal them and dry them off immediately if they get wet. I doubt it would take much to spoil them. I have the originals but the chromers I took them to wanted 380 plus vat. Budget wouldn't stretch.

Time for another project really. I'd love a 1971 A65. Orange and white with the thin petrol tank. I think they are beautiful.
