The Belgium rally will be 9 - 16 July 2022 in Polleur, East Belgium

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the update.  A nice part of Belgium for an International Rally.  Not too far from a ferry terminal but a good stepping stone to a bit more of a trip afterwards.  I would imagine that there will be some excitement and a few outline plans being made already.

Dave.

Polleur seems a long way from the ferry terminal, not far from the German border. Easy run on the E42.

Hi,

From Rotterdam about 3hrs and 170 miles by motorway or 5.5 hrs and 155 miles avoiding motorways.  Either way with stops a reasonable riding day once off the early arriving ferry.

If the French still don't want us in their country next year going via Holland might be the only answer. That's of course so long as we won't be in our lock down number twenty.

Booking forms should be available for the 2022 Belgium rally from mid December.

This event will be held from 9th - 16th July 2022
The venue is in Theux, a very beautiful and natural region in the Ardennes, near Spa.
The camping site is here.  https://www.camping-ardennen.nl/
The website shows the different facilities available, and for rent.
I don't know the quantities of each type of rented accommodation available, nor if there is any additional accommodation nearby.

A65ROCKET

The booking form is now on the UK website.
Note: If you want to book accommodation (not tents or cravens), then you will need to book it using the www.bsaoc.be website page (opening sometime in January).
Its first come, first reserved with regards to the accommodation.

The booking form in the Star is the Belgium version
The UK version together with an explanation document is on the UK BSA website.
Note: If you want to book either a temp or a caravan/motor-home, then you can use the UK form, and pay for it by April in Sterling via me.
If you want on-site accommodation, then you need to use the Belgium website and pay directly using Euro's.

Any refunds from the Belgium club were stated to be using PayPal, however there are costs involved, and in the past, the mass refund has been send to me, and then I send out peoples individual refunds, this is to avoid bank changes where currency transactions occuer.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for clearing that up.  So pretty much as normal.  You never know Shaun may change his mind.

Hi,

I don't think there has ever been a sold out International Rally.
Rally and ferry booked so all I need to do now is scrape together some petrol, beer and food money.
It will be quite exciting getting across the water again.
I think I will have to start practising driving on the right again.

No venue for next years Summer Camp yet!

Dave.

Apologies for the link

If you are taking your ROAD REGISTERED bike to Europe on a trailer or in van, then you do NOT have to take any extra documentation. (import /export documents)
You just need your registration document (V5C) and a copy of your insurance.

The tours, general information

The Camping Polleur is located in Theux in the province of Liege.

This province offers a wide range of beautiful locations for touring and visiting.
We have made a selection of short and longer rides.
The beautiful destinations can be visited alone or in a group.

BUT unfortunately we can't arrive anywhere with a group of 300 pers.
That is why we have opted not to make fixed day trips,

but free trips that you can do alone or in smaller groups on a day and time of your choice.
As a result, there is no mass crowd at these places and you can enjoy these locations in peace, and quietly tour this beautiful region.

Please note, groups with more than 50 motorcycles must have at least 2 road captains!!

This is with a fluorescent vest with the mention "road captain" and a small traffic sign C3

Without motorways, highways and with as few major roads as possible, we ride along the many beautiful rural roads,

with a detour, to the destination. You can pay a nice visit there or just a refreshment

and continue along other rural roads, again with a detour, back to the Camping Polleur.
If desired, all routes can be made longer or shortened or a short-cut can be taken in order to choose another or the fastest way to the Campsite

and this on your own initiative and must be mapped out yourself.

In Wallonia, the speed limit on regional roads is 90km/hr 56mls/hr unless otherwise stated.

Because of road conditions and the unclear bents, we recommend 70km/hr 44mls/hr.

In built-up areas the speed is 50km/hr 31mls/hr unless otherwise stated (30).
This part of the country is a motorcyclist's paradise and many motorcyclist's think they are everywhere on the Francorchamps circuit,

so the Police are not very popular on motorcycles and there are many checks on speeds AND on excessive and unnecessary noise!

So no Harley rituals please!

Dress code;
Legal approved helmet,

long sleeves,

gloves WITH fingers,

long pants

shoes higher than the ankles.

High visible and protecting clothing is recommended!

To prepare yourself and install sat nav, I've attached are all rides as a GPX file, as a map and with route description.
This will soon be on www.bsaoc.be and will also be available on site from our IT specialist Bryan.
Want to know more about these destinations? Lets google!

Depending on the brand of GPS, the maps used and the updates, minor deviations may occur!

The arrival points will of course remain the same.

We wish you many safe kilometers/miles and unforgettable touring and sightseeing pleasure.
