K2F Magneto repairs....Again

I have a 59 A10 and had some sparking issues, stripped the mag down and cleaned it and the spark was good and ran well. Now the problem is back so I have decided to get a Magneto overall done.
I have been ringing around all afternoon trying to get someone to do the job, I have had all kinds of answers, such as - we are not taking work on - 6 months wait - closed for the summer - It's like a bloody secret society.
Then I'm told by a few not to trust the cowboys they will ruin your mag...  It's driving me mad, surely there's someone out there who can just say...send it in we will fix it with no problem, instead of all these drama's, no wonder the British motorcycle industry went down the pan.

I understand your frustration as I have been having the same problems with other work.
Try Armoto. I know they are busy too however.

Have you tried Ribblesdale Auto Electrics. They have a dedicated Mag section. They have fixed some seriously antique mags for me in the past and always high quality.

Prices about average or very slightly above. How busy??? no idea.

Anything like this is personal but I can certainly recommend them.

Have you tried Priory Magnetos. Run by an A10 enthusiast who also supplies other parts.
Not had a mag done yet but has given excellent service on parts I have bought.
If you stick it into Google you'll find the contact details.

Hi,

What are the BTH magnetos like?
How easy is it to fit the CDI unit and coild so they are not seen?

Im a stickler for originality but also like a nice period looking upgrade too
