Hello fellow BSAOC members!! We have arranged our camp to be on 2nd to 4th July this year.. The venue will be the Breighton Ferry Inn, Breighton, YO8 6DH. Obviously this may be subject to any Government Covid restrictions, but hopefully we should be in a position to welcome friends old and new!! More information to follow as we are still in early planning stages.   :)

Hello folks.. For our runout on the Saturday I have negotiated a visit to Mathewsons Auction House Museum (of Bangers and Cash fame) in Thornton Le Dale. I will be contacting Derek soon to finalise plans..They have kindly offered us off road parking for our motorcycles which will be a great help as they are just by most of the local amenities. Thornton Le Dale has lots of other attractions to offer for a stop over, so we are looking forward to seeing some members of the club making the trip up (or down) to sunny Yorkshire in July!!  :D

That's all sounding great Ia. I am really looking forward to it.
I'll just be careful where I park at Mathewsons; I wouldn't want it selling ;)

Hi Ian,

Due to ongoing Covid restrictions is there an update on the details for the West Yorks. Weekend?

Dave.

Ian C

Hi Dave,  After the government announcement that we'd be waiting until July 19th for easing of restrictions I contacted the club for guidance. From the stance of the club, we will be still having our camp on the dates previously published. Obviously the pub will be following standard guidelines etc., plus most of our socialising would be outside. Therefore it's a case of carry on as normal and have an enjoyable weekend.

One further announcement..  We will be adhering to Government guidelines as set out on the 17th May 2021.  There should NOT be any gathering of over 30 people outside or more than 6 people inside during the weekend. There should be social distancing at all times along with all attendees taking steps to make sure that they sanitise hands etc whenever and wherever possible. All Pub and Campsite Covid-safe rules and regulations must be followed including providing names and contact details, plus wearing of masks and sanitising before entering as well as when inside the Pubs premises. If anyone considering attending has tested positive for Covid, then DO NOT come or if anyone who feels unwell, again DO NOT come.
I trust you understand that we would like this weekend to be an enjoyable one, so if you feel you cannot follow the guidelines, we respectfully ask you to NOT attend.

Hi Ian,

Is the charity event still going ahead next weekend?

Dave.
