Alternator stud spacers (1965 B40F)
« on: 05 March, 2021, 18:37:51 »
Evening all, My alternator sits on three studs. Some spacers fit on the studs also. I have two short spacers (1/2") and one long (1"). I'm pretty sure the two short ones go on the same stud, ie the rearmost. Can't remember which stud the long one goes on. Could someone please remind me of the configuration of these spacers? I should of course have made notes or taken photos.  Thanks very much.

Further to my previous post, please see photo attached. I've popped the long spacer onto the top left stud, which I think (not certain) is where it fell from.  You can see the two shorter ones on the right hand stud (I think the chain tensioner is held between those two.) So do you reckon I'm missing a spacer?  But I see the Draganfly website parts diagram says qty two short ones and qty one long one.  I'm a bit confused.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Phil.

Hi Phil,

I think that the chain tensioner incorporates the other spacer as it pivots on the stator stud.

Dave.
