Remote oil filter
« on: 24 January, 2021, 17:04:59 »
Hi,
I have an A10 plunger. I want to fit a remote oil filter, but not sure where to locate it.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Hi Richy,

I managed to fit one behind the gear box on my wife's '51 Flash but it has a non standard rear mudguard.  I do not think it would work with a standard one.  However, Paul Goff does a kit for fitting in the toolbox on the swinging arm models.  I do not know if the plunger tool box is the same depth as the swinging arm but the filter is the standard 78mm dia.

hi,
i fitted a MAP long type oil filter in the toolbox so out of sight. it uses trident / rocket 3 oil filters and fits snug along the bottom of the toolbox. i made a long gaped bracket and use 2 jubilee clips to hold it in place and for easy removal.
