Hi Roy,

If you put 'tyres' in the search box you will find a few previous threads on A65 tyres.

Hi Roy, I have just fitted a pair of Avon Roadriders on my (not yet running) A65 Lightning. I tend to prefer them to the Dunlop's..... But don't ask me to qualify that statement.....

However, I did remove a brand new (never used) Dunlop TT off the rear wheel a few weeks back.

Meaning that if you do decide to go the Dunlop route give me a shout.....

Dave.

That is what you have WM2 are the rim widths. They come as WM1, 2 and 3 they may come bigger for modern bikes. Generally WM2 is what is fitted to most of our BSAs.

Hi,

'66 to '68 manual says front WM2 x 19 and rear WM3 x 18 or 19.  Tyre sizes 3.25 front and 3.50 x 19 or 4.00 x18.
To the best of my knowledge the 3.60 is a lower profile equivalent to 3.25 and 4.10 is the lower profile equivalent of the 4.00
The more modern numbers would be 90/90 for 3.25, 100/90 for 3.50 and 110/90 for 4.00

I run 90/90 x 19 and 100/90 x 18 Avon Road Riders on my 650.

Roy, the rim is a 19 inch jobbie with a rim width of 2.7 inches.

The Avon Road Rider I fitted is 100.90- 19  57V, while the Dunlop TT tyre is 4.10 H19. (Date on the Dunlop is 06.18 (June 2018)).
Hope that helps...
Regards,
Dave.
