probably not the best way but my way. depends on the finish you want

make a former from a bit of wood to the shape. use your hands and a pair of pliers (used gently) to get it roughly there, then a flat headed hammer to tap it smooth

the advantage of this is, if it goes wrong you already have a hammer handy to beat the hell out of it

thats how i would do it

this isnt going well is it?

i already have the decals. they are printed vynil (vinyl?). that is the choice.... the only choice.

they aren't original oem. they are cheap and not nasty

i want opinions on which of the three layout options might look best

it ain't rocket science

following on from my above post....

a mate of mine has a predeliction for old MG cars (why i hear you ask)

at one show he was approached by a gentleman (i use the term reservedly) who informed him he hadnt put the right over riders on it (all chrome and not a plastic insert type)

after the ensueing heated conversation the gentleman awoke in the first aid tent.

the question is was he a decal because he'd been transferred from the mud to the tent?

they certainly are transfers.decal is an abbreviation of the french'decalcomanie' which is a method of a applying a decoration to a pot by transfer. so by definition any decoration applied by tranfer is a decal. it make no difference what it is if its applied its a decal. sickers, water slides or transfers call them what you like they are or will be applied by the decalcomanie mehod. viva la france. viva la difference

i didnt ask about aesthetics i just wanted to know which combination looked the best on that panel.

i care not a jot about pre war, post war, year specific or anything like that. just what looks good on the eye.

so i'm deciding on the decal/sticker for the side panels.

not sure what is ott but the bsa decal matches the ones on the tank and that keeps the theme but...

the rifles seem to be popular

both might be too much

what do we (not the royal) think chaps?

just haven't been able to live with the untidiness of the battery area.

i could have gone with a smaller new fangled agm thingy in cannery yeller but no, i didnt like that..call me old fashioned

so after many sleepless night, prescription tranquilisers and empty vimto bottles it was decided.....side panels were the way to go

i didnt want them but couldn't think of a viable alternative (DONT suggest anything, they are already made so its too late)

a lot of banging and crashing was to be heard and finally i became a father of two lovely twins. just got to get matching rompers and we're away
