Also depends on what type of fuel you use , found shell nitro V power to burn cleaner than some other brands

Sam if poss post up a photo of your timing cover ,let's see what one you have , is your bike up and running ,
If not it's possibly crankcase has wet sumped and oil level is up close to main bearing and leaking past ,as even as standard there is no oil seal that side ,only the distance piece behind the engine sprocket being a close fit to crankcase  to stop oil passing by , there are few options , if you are stripping engine completely to help this situation, fit a sealed main bearing (bearing number 6205 RS ) or/ and machine case and fit garter seal ,

Genuinely speaking, the clutch you have are very good and work exceptionally well , alloy sprocket is fine as Long as the sprockets and chain is running perfectly in line if not it will ware out spkt in very quick time ,
( a great deal of racing rear wheel sprockets are alloy and last hell of a long time )
The clutch Center on your bike looks like a std bsa 4 spring clutch type ,
The breather pipe on the drive side was ditched for that reason ,( oil)  it went to timing cover ,that alone had at least 3x modifications to help keep oil in and breath at same time ,it all good fun if you don't weaken 😊

Looks like a Suzuki type clutch conversion for the bsa

There's another mind field regarding the PRV , I have had a test rig ,and found certain new valves leaking at  around 20 lbs , not only though spring pressures. But  also the OD of the threaded part that screws into case being under size ,allowing oil to pass by threads ,

Quite often just cleaning the contacts don't work ,it's best to take out contact and rub on carborundum stone ,if bike has been standing for sometime the contacts get hard scale on them ,

That's very typical of that type of pump , the maisak pump body  distorts and pinches the pump gears ,to put is bluntly old pumps are a nightmare, and if/ when they are tighten and pinching the screw on the crank pinion gear and the upright spindle will strip and you then have no pump ,it's most likely all the old pumps you see on auction site have been taken out for a reason ,the gears and counter bore could be relived but if to much is taken out the pump is next to useless, best suggestion is to buy /save up for a new hepolite brand pump supplied by wassells
I have fitted and used dozens of these for road and race , with no trouble at ALL. Super steel body pump ,

There is a service tool that slides over spindle and locates the O ring, but even then its not uncommon to sliver bit of O ring , it's possible the new O rings are to fat any way ,measure how much o ring petrude  above spindle ,
Sometimes I have altered the grove in spindle to accommodate,

It's only exhaust that normally changed for lead free , you be far better taking head to specialist to cut /grind , that way the seat will ( should )run concentric to valve and seat properly and be correct angles , that's my opinion any way ,

Singles / Re: Carb - Repair or Replace?

My personal opinion would be replace with wassell carb , I have on my bikes ,very nicely made ,work well with very stable tick over and throttle response , all I would add is to strip it before putting on bike as on a couple I had I found jets were not tight , had a needle jet very loose , ( only just got back home ) ,

Yes std rubber bushes I agree can cover many many thousands of miles ,but with some particularly FWH with cross over brake the spindle can seize , some of the replacement bushes are not good in diamentions and rubber not same quality as original, I have done several conversions on the solid spindle type and still running now ,
Bronze bush type give more control over rear suspension units ,
So I was just wonder if any one had done this on the FWH crossover type , not sure if Unity Equipe used to offer the service ,

Regarding the dual outlet 12 volt coil you are using I have used these on several bikes ,with no problems and they have cover more miles than can think inc overseas trips etc ,ignition system used either Pazon or the VAPE ,may be just lucky ? Coils do be if it from keeping cool and mounting nicely ,oh just a note is to make sure machine is not over charging , all the best ,
