You might get it oiltight but when you stop it will drop some oil out of the breather. You will need a small catch container attached to the breather pipe.

Has anyone made one of these catch containers? photo's if possible please.

To get a nice slow tickover on my B31 I have to advance it, when I retard it, the tickover is too fast!

Thanks, yes most of the oil is from the primary side. I'll let it run dry and keep the chain and bearing lubed. Doesn't the clutch mind being without any oil, is the oil in there to just slash about and keep the chain oiled up?

Singles / B31 into a B32
« on: 25 June, 2020, 23:35:39 »
Just wondering if anyone has successfully made a B31 Plunger look like a B32 competition i.e. high exhaust, trials handlebars etc. You don't see many B32's around and when you do they want a lot of cash for them.

I just bought a couple of new 6v 5AH Cyclones, will glue them together like G.L says and I'll have 10AH. I've also installed 6v LED so the batteries should be good for a long run.

Hi all

I have the urge to try and make my B31 oil tight. This is my first B model, has anyone completed this work? is it possible to make them oil tight? or will I be wasting my time and still need to place a tray under the bike after every ride.

Unfortunately I can't take credit for that helmet, the photo was from the last owner, Here's one I took in my ownership. I do have an open face which I don't use because of the flies smacking into the face comes keen when it's a bee.

Hi Bess

I like the idea of keeping the particles moving around and not getting stuck in the sludge trap or other small oil ways, which oil do you use.

My pads have holes in them where the screw head is so once you have the pad on the plate it can be screwed up tight to the tank.

Great looking bike, the plungers have so much character and reliability.
