Fitted the complete system today, like a glove. Nice finish. Had to make up two small brackets from the engine mounting, I anticipated this. Pleased.

One trap, one tube. Can be a sod to get out, replace both parts; not expensive. Kidderminster M/C's. Keep up the commentary.

Hi Julian. Had a few bits off that guy and have been pleased. His bracket would be ideal if it did not have such a sweeping bend. There is only 3/4" clearance from the down tubes to the centre of the engine bolt hole. So I don't think that one would work ?  :(

Just got my complete balanced exhaust system from Armours. All lines up very nice so far. There are lugs on the down pipes which are designed to take a chrome bracket to the top front engine mount. When I got the bike there were no exhaust pipes with it. Armours do not do the said bracket. They suggested looking at the Triumph Bonnie OIF bracket 70-6857. I was hoping someone else had come across this set-back/problem. the gap from lug to engine mount is about 3 1/2". The Triumph chrome brackets are cheap but I don't want to start drilling and cutting as it won't look nice. As normal any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Editor, appreciate the reply. Waiting for final box of parts from Draganfly and Kidderminster M/C's. Probably be a few more threads to come.

Did mine recently. The bottom will drift out from the top and the top from the bottom. Don't hit the two abutment rings that sit in the frame on two ridges in the frame. These rings locate the cups and do a good job. Look at Dragonfly's parts breakdown it will explain a bit more. You can re-use the abutment rings. Hope this helps.

Getting close to finishing this restoration. Just fitted a brand Amal standard carb, supplied with Top Hats. Quite surprised how little clearance there is between the the top of the carb and the frame. I have an expensive billet Amal throttle with no adjustment. I need some advice on dealing with throttle and choke connections with this lack of clearance please.

I would like to thank everyone for there advice so far helping me build this box of bits with a V5.

I would just clean them up and pop them back in. You obviously had a tight fit. If it's not broke, don't spend more money. I use the blue jointing compound, only because I have some.

I second that, they had a rubber mat under the battery as well. Otherwise the battery would be shaken like a bottle of lemonade.
