Keep looking over time, obviously they don't fetch the money that the Triumph cousins command. I have just spent 1000's on my rebuild, the 400 new clutch arrived today. However I won't get what I spent. BUT I did enjoy building it. Might have it buried with me one day. Good luck.

I would watch what bikes sell for on ebay, ignore the dealers adverts, they are always three to four grand more. Look in Old Bike Mart which is realistic, again ignore dealers prices.

I want to fit my new SRM Clutch ASAP to my 1971 A65. I need the clutch locking tool and extractor, either borrow, buy or rent or pop in and supervise. I am near Southend. I wanted to use the bike this weekend. Can anyone help, you will be rewarded. The tools are not too expensive but I don't want to wait for a courier. Thanks.

I am going to buy a new basket and billet cover plate. Just don't know which one to get. I have seen light weight Dunstall alloy baskets about the same price as the steel ones. I have heard that the adjuster on the billet pressure plate has a different adjuster and the push rod will need cutting down. I assume standard clutch plates will the new basket. Has anyone got any views on this conversion please. Thanks.

Shot blasting should not take it off at all. Mine has just been done and is clear as day. I masked over it before it was powder coated for all to see. I then sealed it with some of the wife's nail varnish.

My clutch has been too stiff since my engine rebuild. I put new friction pads in, new push rod, new cam thrust ball bearings and lubricated the new cable. Tried all sorts of adjustments and the cable is not cable tied anywhere. I pulled the clutch out today, the plain clutch plates slightly warped-worn. But the outer basket has ridges in each section. I assume that the plates are catching on these ridges causing the problem. A wise mate of mine said to file them all straight again ? I am of the mind to get a new basket or a complete modern clutch assembly, views please. Thanks.

Pinch bolts H/T. I got 90% of my sizes from Draganfly's parts list. Find a main supplier of S/S, a few lads on here posted a few recently on one of the threads, try searching S/Steel. Regards.

If you try to tax it on line it should give you an option to declare that your bike has no modifications and make it historic . I just took my log books to Tesco's Post Office with forms V112. They changed it to Historic .

( MOT Exempt ) and Taxed my bikes and all free of charge.
