Vale Onslo have some beagle parts, might be worth giving them a shout, or look at their list on line.

Look very much like the AJS /Matchless type, where you just have to slacken off and adjust using the slot in the shaft to get the tappets correct, so as long as they are in roughly the same position as they were when you removed them, you should be able to adjust okay.

I always use Paul Woods, Wheel builder of Herne Bay, he has always done a good job for me and he's quite local to me.

Dave.
I'm not sure either, I will have to get Gillian to have a look, I allow her to do all the booking as I hate doing that. Hopefully we could stand a chance of have this rally if that stupid Russian, Putin doesn't nuke us all first.

Hello Dave.

All okay now, I have booked a cabin and all the rally fees have been paid for. The next thing is the ferry booking, if I decided to take the bike in the van on the ferry it would cost more than taking the car and bike, so it looks like I will be riding and Gillian driving the car, crazy or what?

The booking form to get accommodation is a bit of a joke, I think, the wife has just spent half an hour trying to book, caravans are already gone, but the booking form to enter the dates of myself and the mileage ridiculous, having to go through the years day by day, by the look of it, instead of just putting in the dates. I feel I am too old to camp now and want something more substantial with toilets and showers. Is there any hotels near by?

I had my first ride out on the Starfire yesterday, I only did about twelve miles but it was so nice to get out again,  a great feeling to be out on the road again, I really can't remember the last time I went for a spin but I think now the weather is picking up a bit, won't be long before I start on some longer rides.

Last of the summer wine is pretty good for a laugh and reminds me so much of the club, we have some wonderful characters in this club, getting up to various antics.

The Star and Garter / BSA Sunbeam scooter
« on: 11 January, 2022, 09:45:45 »
Hello all.

I am desperately looking for a white kick start lever rubber for a 250cc Sunbeam scooter, that I am restoring, or should I say re-furbishing, I thought maybe someone would have one tucked away somewhere, it seems that these things now are like hens teeth, I have tried all the usual spares suppliers and it seems not even Tom Brown in NZ has any.
I do have one of the older type in grey which is grey and for the arched style pedal, that I can exchange if anyone wants one.

The Star and Garter / Re: Rally & Open Day
« on: 10 January, 2022, 19:45:40 »
After running the open day for six years, I found the hardest thing was writing to all different manufacturers of bike bits and phoning, begging, to try to get a decent raffle prize out of them, once the best venue was established, the rest was a piece of cake. I feel sure that Dave & Chris had the same problems when running the Awards weekend, which they did, with great success, we just have to respect the Rugby clubs decision, after all it is a rugby club.

I really cannot understand the TV programmes, it's all about other people making money,  or what other people are doing , what is the matter with people? have they forgot how to live and how to be entertained, I mean for gods sake I don't want to know what Mrs Smith is getting up to, or how American pickers are picking up old motor signs, I'm just not bothered.
